In 1905, amidst the largest drug epidemic in American history, a teenage Alice has just moved to the Pacific Northwest. She follows a mysterious man down a rabbit hole, leading her into Wonderland; a dark and curious world inhabited by characters from turn-of-the-century America and the Pacific Northwest.
Alice, an unpretentious and individual 19-year-old, is betrothed to a dunce of an English nobleman. At her engagement party, she escapes the crowd to consider whether to go through with the marriage and falls down a hole in the garden after spotting an unusual rabbit. Arriving in a strange and surreal place called Underland, she finds herself in a world that resembles the nightmares she had as a child, filled with talking animals, villainous queens and knights, and frumious bandersnatches. Alice realizes that she is there for a reason--to conquer the horrific Jabberwocky and restore the rightful queen to her throne.
Our young protagonist, Henry Sorin, undergoes lucid nightmares relating not only to his abusive past but a strange cloaked deity within an abandoned house. The story is told through the dark realm of Henrys nightmares and his cold, bleak life in reality; as the disturbances become too much for him to take, the truth is slowly exposed, and Henry can do naught but come to terms with the horror of reality. Reality protects you. But not for long. Nightmare will scare audiences of all ages with its expert use of tension and power of suggestion, and is backed by a strong, character driven story that will continuously engage and surprises audiences.
